The grandeur of our 19th century Beaux Arts building creates a perfect setting for both private and corporate events. We welcome guests for weddings, corporate events and social affairs in our second story space. Street level access to a private elevator takes you upstairs to the main function spaces. High ornate ceilings, wood paneling, a grand working fireplace, marble columns and a façade of windows overlooking Yale University in the Grand Ballroom salon, provides an unparalleled old world sophisticated atmosphere and serves as the perfect template for an elegant affair. Natural light from oversized French doors floods the room and can be opened to bring in fresh air. Separated by murals of New Haven Harbor in the foyer, the Sherman Room is the perfect space for smaller intimate weddings and rehearsal dinners for lovers of fine dining with full privacy. The entire first floor main dining room and Clubroom are available for larger celebrations.

The Ballroom and main dining room at Union League Café provide an unforgettable setting for wedding receptions. The Sherman room and Clubroom make the perfect space for ceremonies, the cocktail hour, dancing and additional seating. From customized menus and wine pairings to wedding cakes and floral decorations, we look forward to will take personal care of every aspect of your wedding reception. We offer a classic wedding package or other menu options that are available to accommodate your budget and overall event theme.
